Bill Hastings, the Managing Director of ARC, has been providing professional graphic design services since 1972. Other members of the staff of ARC are also experienced in graphic design, though for a shorter period. Graphic design work has included posters for theatres (including the Abbey Theatre, the Peacock Theatre and the Olympia Theatre), album covers, corporate identity, book design, annual reports, development plans, environmental impact statements and publications.
Clients for the design of books have included:
- The Office of Public Works
- The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland
- The Incorporated Law Society of Ireland
- The Energy Research Group, University College Dublin
- The Architects Council of Europe
- The National Disability Authority
... and many more.
Development Plan and environmental impact statements have been designed for
- The Dublin Docklands Development Authority
- The Railway Procurement Agency
- Wexford County Council
- Dublin City Council
... and many more.
Much of ARC's graphic design has related to publications of a technical or legal nature and ARC specialises in producing technical illustrations and maps, which explain concepts and policy put forward in these publications. The fact that ARC employs digital modellers and animators allows ARC to produce three dimensional imagery for use as illustrations.
